For a while now I’ve followed Mademoiselle’s blog and eyed her Chanel flat dupe, the Vanelli flat. Though I saw mixed reviews via Nordstrom, what stood out to me the most was how Vanelli offered two almost identical shoes but at such different price points.
On Mademoiselle’s blog, she would often recommend the ‘Aliz’ Slingback Pump, which currently costs $149.95 but I was so curious about the Delle Slingback Pump which is now sold out but was on sale for $75. The Delle style will often go on style when Nordstrom has a sale whereas the Aliz does not.
I decided to wear one of each show on my feet and ask my mom which she thought was more expensive. To be honest, the Delle was the winner and had I not known it was cheaper, I would have thought so as well.
But upon closer inspection, though the actual shape of Delle was flattering, the materials this shoe was made of was very different than the Aliz. The Delle has a much shiner look that appears to be made out of a more patent leather material and the Aliz has some sort of fabric at the toe.
Though I really wanted to love these pumps, the deal breaker for me was the fact that this ‘nude’ isn’t a nude at all. The company also does not offer any other ‘nude’ color pumps which do not feel entirely inclusive.
The Aliz pump is a great everyday option and the Delle is great for dress-up but this company does not truly offer a ‘nude’ shoe option for every type of consumer. But if this color does work for your skin shade, these both seem to be great dupes! Though it should be noted that the construction of each style is very different.
